Important Booking Information
Operating season
The track is open from the 1st of October through to the 30th of April. It is closed between the 1st of May and the 30th of September.
Booking date
The booking date is the date you arrive at Ngaroma. You start walking the next day, and finish in the afternoon the day after that. Your booking will be confirmed once we receive your full payment.
Pricing
Adults: $200 per person
Students: $180 per person
Group Discounts: A 10% discount is offered when booking and paying for 10 people. Booking for 10 people will mean that you have the track to yourself.
We are happy to pencil in your preferred dates but please place full payment into our account for your booking to be 100% confirmed.
If you would like to meet other walkers on the Track we suggest choosing a date already booked by others.

Payment
From within NZ Please make a bank transfer to Kaikoura Coast Track 06 0851011296700 and include date of walk and name.
You can also post a cheque written out to Kaikoura Coast Track to S Handyside 201 Conway Flat Road Cheviot RD4 Post Code 7384. (Also include date of walk.)
When booking from overseas, you can pay by Paypal/CreditCard. Note that a 4% transaction fee applies to online payments.
Please note, we do not have credit card facilities on the walk.
You receive
Accommodation in warm, clean cottages with fully equipped kitchens, flushing loos and hot showers, clean beds (backpacker/bunkhouse style), clean pillows & pillowcases and bath mat.
Luggage transport to each night’s accommodation. One piece of luggage per person will be transported, plus one chilly bin/box of food per party (two if more than five people). Additional bags can be transported at a cost of $15 per bag.
You’ll also receive secure car parking, a detailed map, a guide booklet, and 26km of pristine coastal Kaikoura to explore!
Additional options (payable to each host farm separately)
If you would like your meals prepared for you please let us know in the “Additional information or questions” on the booking form.
Breakfasts and cut lunches are $20 per person per meal. Evening meals include a two course home-style meal that is prepared and ready for you to cook at your convenience, $50 per person per meal.
Each farm has a limited selection of food available to buy e.g. veg/meat pies, meat, bread, milk, canned goods, biscuits, ice creams, soft drinks, beer and wine.
Linen available by prior arrangement. Includes sleeping sheet, duvet and towel. $25 per person per walk.
Refunds
A 90% refund will be made when at least 21 days notice is given. A 50% refund will be made when there is 7–21 days notice. No refund will be made for cancellations within 7 days of booking date.
